I remember the very first soap I made. I didn’t measure a single ingredient and just sort of trusted my instincts and went all out. As luck (or something bigger) would have it, I turned out 2 of the most beautiful and aromatic soaps that I had ever seen in my life. And what thrilled me even more was the fact that I had achieved this with completely natural, organic and functional ingredients. There was a concept to my non-measured madness, and it pleased me. I decided that this was something to be shared and enjoyed, and not just by my household and my friends and family. I wanted everyone to be able to enjoy the fruits (and flowers) of my…well…labor. Although I can hardly call it labor, because to delicately and artistically create a winning soap recipe has brought me more therapeutic joy than anything else I have ever resolved to do (other than photography). Always, a learner and researcher, I have now committed to clearly measuring and documenting my ingredients (for the sake of consistency), although on occasion, I have the habit of impulsively creating. Somehow, I am always satisfied.
At first I was a bit apprehensive (as many people would be) to try to convince others that my product is not only exceedingly worthy, but is considered necessary by many forums for the benefit and longevity of our planet. I understand that not everyone is on board with the “going green campaigns”, but it is sincerely my wish to shed light on the movement and encourage, if not educate and inspire, anyone who wishes to learn.
So, who am I making my products for? EVERYONE!!! What am I making my products with? Only the finest, highest quality, essential oils, nut and seed butters, plant oils, colorants and fragrances. Everything is sustainable and is renowned for its benefit to our health and earth.
So what does this all mean? Well, ultimately, Ma’athematics Natural Skin Care will produce a unique line of soaps, shampoos, body creams, butters, balms and salves from 100% vegan and natural ingredients. Our target market is anyone who is aware or wishes to become aware of the many benefits of natural and holistic living. We will target the individual who is concerned, curious or adamant about loving, caring and sustaining our planet. We will target the individual who is sick and tired of products bombarded with chemicals, synthetics, dyes and impurities that not only bring imbalance to their health and lives, but to the earth as a whole. We will seek to educate those who are not aware of the abundant and multifaceted benefits of supporting a boutique, natural, herbal care business with achievable goals of making an impact on the earth.
